College Success Seminar [ID-180]

Web Class and Web Resource

About the College Success Seminar (ID-180)

This required freshman course is designed to help orient the freshman student to the resources available at the University of Guam and important skills needed for student success. Through a variety of learning activities students will be exposed to many college skills including: decision making, goal setting, time management, program planning, study methods, memory strategies, test taking techniques, use of the RFK Library resources, how to use UOG Internet resources, financial and other available assistance programs. This course also provides students with strategies for establishing healthy relationships in our multicultural community, minimizing stress and making healthy life choices.

About the ID-180 Web Class

ID-180 on the Web's main feature is the ID-180 Online Class, an alternative way to fulfill the College Success Seminar credit at UOG. Students may add this course at the beginning of the semester, and visit this website from time to time, independently, to participate in discussion, hand in homework, take tests and assessments, and interact with fellow classmates and with the instructor; all this could potentially be done from any Web-enabled computer.

The ID-180 Web Class is a new, technology-driven method of delivering the College Success Seminar course. This class is mainly for students who wish to take the class but find themselves unable to attend the regular ID-180 meetings because of time conflicts.

It is a work in progress, and we expect technological support for it to expand and improve as more and more students take advantage of this class in the coming semesters. Thank you for your support. We are glad to be able to provide this service to you, the UOG student.
