Residence Hall Facilities
The University of Guam has two residence halls: Guma'ta Hall and Iya-hami Hall. Both residence halls have two wings with two stories in each wing. One wing of each residence hall houses men and the other houses women. The two wings of each hall are separated by a courtyard and common areas containing large kitchens, a computer room, study/conference rooms, and a TV lounge which are shared by all the residents of the residence hall. Each residence hall also has laundry facilities.There is also a game room equipped with a table tennis table, paddle, and net.
Guma'ta Hall
Guma'ta (meaning "our home" in the Chamoru language) Hall houses up to 90 residents in double occupancy rooms. It received a full-scale renovation that was completed at the end of 2000. All the residential rooms in Guma'ta are air-conditioned and are wired for cable television. They are equipped with a bunkable bed, a desk, a chair, and a wardrobe with drawers for each resident. Each floor has a restroom that is shared by the residents of that floor.
Iya-hami Hall
Iya-hami (meaning "my place") Hall was renovated in 1991 and can house up to 92 residents in double occupancy rooms. Each residential room is equipped with two single beds, two study desks, two chairs, drawers, shelves, and two closets. Each floor has two restrooms that are shared by the residents of the floor community. Though the residential rooms in this hall are not air-conditioned, each room has a ceiling fan and a small balcony. Additionally, the building's study/conference rooms, computer room, and television lounge are air-conditioned.
